Rocheline Marchia was born to Reynold Michael Sondakh and Helena Marcelline in Makassar on March 3rd, 1997. Her childhood took an unexpected turn when her parents separated when she was only five years old. Too young to fully understand the circumstances behind their divorce, Rocheline grew up primarily under the care of her mother, Helena, while continuing to maintain a relationship with her father, Reynold.
Several years after the divorce, Helena found love again and married Adrian Soerjanto, a successful entrepreneur originally from Surabaya. Adrian welcomed Rocheline into his life with patience and warmth, gradually becoming an important father figure throughout her childhood and adolescence.
Through her mother’s marriage to Adrian, Rocheline gained an older stepbrother, Alaric Vincent Soerjanto, who was born in 1993, making him four years older than Rocheline. Over the years, Alaric became a protective and dependable presence in her life, and their relationship grew into a genuine sibling bond despite not sharing the same biological parents.
Growing up between her father’s Manado roots, her mother’s nurturing presence, and the new family she gained through her mother’s second marriage, Rocheline learned that family can take many forms. Each relationship left its own imprint on her character, shaping her into someone who values loyalty, understanding, and emotional connection.
Her parents’ separation became one of the earliest experiences that taught Rocheline about the complexities of human relationships. Rather than allowing it to make her distant, the experience made her more observant and empathetic. She learned to listen carefully, understand different perspectives, and appreciate the people who choose to remain present in her life.
Today, Rocheline carries her family’s story with quiet acceptance. She embraces every chapter of her upbringing as part of the woman she has become—independent yet warm, composed yet deeply sentimental, and strong without losing her tenderness.
